I'm already sticking to the paper
Where syrup and afternoon fuse
My fingers to grass, denim, and skin
To sugar, sunlight, and blue dye
Blue sky and my cousins' gossip;
Heat lifting us from ourselves
Gluing us to each vacation day
Loosely,
Gummily,
Fully.
Sharing with The Sunday Muse for Wednesday's "Let's Dance" prompt. Note: there is no dancing in this. Except for the bee. The bee is probably dancing. Go, bee!
